Trevethlan: A Cornish Story. Volume 2 (of 3) by William Davy Watson
The Story
So, we pick up right from basically a cliffhanger ending of the first volume (don't start here if you haven't read volume 1; there's a lot of mess you need to catch up on!). Volume 2 starts full rain and emotional turmoil. The key hooks? There's a shipwinked family estate which belongs to some lost child now? So this brings back all these debts and old promises. This leads characters constantly making terrible decisions—first out of duty, then despare / lies, then out of will you get the worst payback after
We mostly stick with Alexander O’Sullivan, a quiet guy who could be secretly hard but here sto guy more to mostly getting through entire scary living. And Margaret? she thinks marriage solves heartbreak – yeah not exactly . the kid Eustace / lovely from earlier volume faces another crux that involves waiting all fear and hidden timings.
